Travel, Culture and Lifestyle Editor

As a travel, culture and lifestyle editor my work covers the many, multifaceted iterations of the role; from the strategic to the day-to-day

This includes end-to-end production of books and magazines; month-by-month digital publishing schedules for online platforms; day-to-day leadership and guidance of global teams; commissioning unique and thought-provoking articles; working with journalists and copywriters to refine features according to publication tone; and final responsibility for proofreading before sharing with the world.

I’ve edited features poolside in Sri Lanka, overlooking the Bosphorus in Istanbul, on a train zipping from London to Brighton, flying at 35,000 feet over Saudi Arabia, and on the steps of the Acropolis in Athens. But I’m also very happy settled into an office space, strong cappuccino in hand.

Content and Project Manager

As a content and project manager I’ve overseen commercial campaigns for tourist boards, end-to-end guidebook production, magazine photoshoot coordination, and communication strategy for London-based corporates

Yes, it’s a wide range but all have one thing in common: being good at getting things done for industry-leading publications. Alongside a healthy dose of creativity, strategy, leadership and motivation.

Highlights include producing photoshoots for Condé Nast spanning India, Oman, the UAE, the UK, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Australia (often simultaneously), and leading the commercial content production for Dubai Tourism campaigns.

During the latter, I oversaw 300+ pieces of content production, across 10 publications, in just nine weeks. Campaign articles, videos, photoshoots, social-media posts and microsites reached millions of people.

Of course, faster is not always better and sometimes content management projects mean honing in and hashing out the smaller details for weeks and months at a time. I’m a sucker for detail and I love doing this too.

I’m well-versed in managing any level of editorial or commercial content across print, websites and social media, and always strike the balance between quality and quantity.
